MetPro Performance Guarantee

MetPro offers a performance guarantee for selected membership tiers.

  • MetPro Ascend: a minimum combined improvement of 20%
  • MetPro Elevate: a minimum combined improvement of 15%

Combined improvement is measured across the following validated metrics over the first 12-month coaching term: Body Fat %, Fat Mass %, Visceral Fat %, Lean Mass %, and VO₂max. If the combined improvement does not meet or exceed the minimum, the client may request a full refund of all coaching fees.

To qualify for this guarantee, the client must:

  1. Maintain at least 80% adherence to logging weight, food, and exercise.
  2. Attend all scheduled coaching calls, or reasonably reschedule.
  3. Complete required baseline and 6-month DEXA scans and VO₂max testing.
  4. Reasonably follow program guidance as provided by the MetPro coaching team.


Performance Guarantee Details

The full definitions, formulas, and eligibility criteria are as follows:

1. Required Adherence (80% Minimum)

To qualify for the guarantee, clients must demonstrate consistent engagement with the MetPro system.

Requirements include:

  • Logging body weight a minimum of 5 days per week.
  • Logging food intake daily with reasonable accuracy.
  • Logging all purposeful exercise or training sessions (minimum average 4x week).
  • Completing assigned tasks within the MetPro app or platform as directed by the coach.

How adherence is measured:
Adherence percentage is calculated using the total number of assigned daily logging tasks divided by the number of tasks completed. Missed logs, skipped entries, or incomplete weeks reduce the adherence score.

2. Coaching Call Attendance

Coaching sessions are essential for program adjustments and guidance.

Requirements include:

  • Attending all scheduled coaching calls.
  • Providing reasonable notice when rescheduling is needed.
  • Completing a rescheduled call within the same week whenever possible.

Consistent attendance ensures the client receives proper guidance, which is necessary for the guarantee to remain valid.

3. Required Testing: DEXA and VO₂max (or Equivalent)

Objective measurement is required for outcome verification.

Initial Testing:

  • A DEXA scan measuring body fat %, fat mass, visceral fat, and lean mass must be completed at program start.
  • A VO₂max test or equivalent aerobic capacity test must be completed at program start.

Follow-Up Testing:

  • DEXA scans must be repeated every six months.
  • VO₂max testing must be repeated at least once during the 12-month term.
  • Tests must use comparable methods and equipment to ensure consistency.

If follow-up testing is not completed, the guarantee cannot be applied.

4. Program Implementation Requirements

The client must follow the program as delivered by the MetPro coaching team. This includes:

  • Completing assigned nutrition protocols.
  • Following exercise recommendations or training adjustments made by the coach.
  • Communicating changes in schedule, health status, or limitations promptly.
  • Using the MetPro system as instructed to support progression.

Failure to follow reasonable program guidance may void the guarantee.


Performance Metric Definitions and Formulas

The guarantee is based on the combined improvement across five validated metrics. Each metric contributes a percentage that is added together to determine total improvement.

1. Body Fat % Improvement

Definition: Reduction in body fat percentage from baseline. Formula:
Starting Body Fat % – Ending Body Fat %
Example:
32% → 27% = 5% improvement.

2. Fat Mass % Improvement

Definition: Percentage of starting fat mass lost over the term.
Formula:
(Fat Mass Lost ÷ Starting Fat Mass) × 100
Example:
Starting Fat Mass: 70 lbs
Ending Fat Mass: 56 lbs
Loss: 14 lbs
14 ÷ 70 = 20% improvement.

3. Visceral Fat (VAT) % Improvement

Definition: Percentage reduction in visceral adipose tissue (VAT).
Formula:
(VAT Reduction ÷ Starting VAT) × 100
Example:
1.4 → 1.1
Reduction: 0.3
0.3 ÷ 1.4 = 21.4% improvement.

4. Lean Mass % Increase

Definition: Percentage of lean body mass gained relative to baseline.
Formula:
(Lean Mass Gained ÷ Starting Lean Mass) × 100
Example:
150 lbs → 155 lbs
Gain: 5 lbs
5 ÷ 150 = 3.3% improvement.

Important:
If lean mass is not fully maintained during weight loss, the improvement for this category is recorded as 0% (clients are not penalized for a minor decrease in lean mass during fat-loss phases).

5. VO₂max % Improvement

Definition: Percentage improvement in aerobic capacity measured through VO₂max or equivalent test.
Formula:
(VO₂max Increase ÷ Starting VO₂max) × 100
Example:
35 → 39
Increase: 4
4 ÷ 35 = 11.4% improvement.
